Energy work and essential oil therapy are intuitive choices--calming, relaxing, stabilizing, nurturing, energizing--they just feel right.
What is Healing Touch?
Healing Touch is a non-invasive energy therapy. You remain fully clothed, on a massage table or sitting in a chair. The practitioner uses light touch and hands off the body to work with the energy field. Your responses will be dependent on your body’s own unique make up. Many people reach a profound state of relaxation and may even drift off to a deep sleep.
Usually a session takes about an hour, maybe a bit longer for the first session in order to discuss your needs and expectations and to obtain a brief background history. All sessions and information shared are confidential.
“I am a believer now—the next day after the treatment my sinuses were clear
and my migraine was gone— and it usually lasts for 3 days or more!” RT
And What About Therapeutic Essential Oils?
When you smell something that reminds you of a pleasant time, like your mother’s homemade cookies, popcorn at a movie, the air after a spring rain, the smell of a new car, it affects your emotions in a significant way. Essential oils and their smells can have a similar effect, and based on the choice of the oil, may also have a therapeutic effect. Stronger, long lasting and healing, essential oils like peppermint (mentha piperita) can ease an upset stomach, energize a flagging spirit, and reduce a fever. Lemon (citrus limon) can offer a mental lift, lower high blood pressure and imporve circulation. Lavender (lavandula angustifolia) is a favorite of many because of its versatile effects, helping to promote a gentle sleep, soothing a cut or burn, and creating a calming bath, easing menstrual cramps.
Therapeutic grade essential oils can be used during a Healing Touch session, or alone in a specific approach for releasing the emotions related to a past trauma, for energizing and massaging the spine, boosting the immune system and for general relaxation. Oils can also be purchased for continued use at home—you would be amazed at the many options for oils! An introductory class in essential oils is offered monthly to anyone interested—just call the office to sign up.

Raindrop Technique®
In addition to Healing Touch sessions, I am now offering Raindrop Technique® which uses organic therapeutic grade Young Living Essential Oils to detoxify, heal and balance the Body, Mind and Spirit. This unique blend of aromatherapy, ancient Lakota Sioux energy techniques and reflexology is powerful for body detoxification, relaxation and freeing the body of old viruses stored in and around the spine. Raindrop also aligns the body energetically and frees up trapped energies in the major energy centers. The seven single oils and two blends, with anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties are applied along the spine and spinal reflexology points along the feet. Many of my clients have experienced it already and have said they felt more energy, felt it clear out cold symptoms, felt like they had a luxurious spa treatment, felt clear headed and happy, felt back pain and stiffness disappear, etc. Let me know if you’d like to give it a try! $65 for a one hour Raindrop session

The Rest of the Story…
How much does it cost?
Services range from $45-$65 per session, payable at the time of your appointment. Personal check and cash are accepted forms of payment. While the office does not bill insurance directly, we do provide an invoice with an insurance billing code for you to file. Several insurance groups are now covering complementary therapies.
What happens after your Healing Touch therapy session?
Much of the healing work takes place in your body after the treatment is over. Depending on your needs, your beliefs and what you are seeking, your experience may subtly change you in ways that only you will be aware of if you are paying attention to your body.
Will you need more than one session?
At the time of your first appointment we will discuss your goals, what you are hoping to achieve, whether it is support during a divorce, pain management for your injury, or simply to relax and reduce stress. Together we will partner in a plan to facilitate meeting your health goals, whether physical, spiritual, emotional or mental.
Will you need help from someone else?
Based on our interview if I determine that there is something that you have described that needs medical attention, or could benefit from another kind of therapy (acupuncture, deep tissue massage, physical therapy, nutritional counseling, etc) I will refer you to available practitioners in the area. I am happy to work with any of the other members of your health care team to ensure that you have the best options for health. And, if I feel that any treatment I could offer would not be beneficial, I will advise you to seek other treatment.
Are there things you can do to maximize the results of your treatment?
At the end of the session, or the beginning of your next appointment, we will discuss lifestyle choices and changes you can make, information that you can read and study and other learning supports that are available.
